The King Black Dragon or the KBD is so simple if you know how to do it.
First stick Turmoil on and protect from melle!
Take some Sara brews, as you know dey be ma fave
As long as you have an anti dragon shield and some solid armour it will hit you maybe 3 times in a battle, you wont go below 500 hp (i hope)
I recommend not doing this in teams as its easy enough solo and you may not get the loots!
I don't think it matters whether you go for attacking style or strength, but if you want to get through it quickly i recommend using a whip and attacking!
Because of the attacking nature of the KBD, magic (Freeze spells) could be seen as an advantage, the you can turn soulsplit on and if it ever does manage to hit you you can heal yourself, but be sure to stock up on plenty of runes as you don't want to be making multiple trips!
Because of the KBD's scaly defence, it is classes as Range gear in runescape. This means it has a weakness to Melle attacks
But it is melle attacking so magic armour is prone to its attacks! (This is based of runescapes Combat triangle theorem)
